I hope you enjoyed your weekend. We now have one day until we leave for Thanksgiving…I kind of feel like I have already checked out, and am ready for vacation mode. I did 4 miles on the treadmill this morning, I used my Garmin and will write a post on its accuracy after the holiday. I have just a couple of random thoughts for today…
Innovation blends “camaraderie of group run with the tedium of running in place.”
If one thing you don’t like about treadmill training is being unable to run with your friends, then head on down to Chile next weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the Chilean brand Oxford Fitness will host races on a treadmill the company says is the first to accommodate ten runners at once. – “Giant Treadmill Holds 10 Runners at Once,” Runner’s World Newswire, November 17
Why be bored alone?
It is a funny article… 🙂 What is next? Tandem exercise bikes???
Let’s talk turkey…
Who is doing a turkey trot? (or a Gobble Wobble?). Delaney and I signed up for a Turkey Trot. Get this, we must be doing the “original” turkey trot, because it starts at Plymouth Rock! We are going down to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving in MA, and they live about 15 minutes away from Plymouth,
so when in Rome, so when near Plymouth…It is a 5.1 mile race and it should be fun. It looks like some winter weather is going to mess with our travel plans (Yay for snow! not for traffic nightmares!) so if I don’t post tomorrow, assume we left early in an attempt to beat the rush, and that we are on our way to celebrate.
For those of you doing a Turkey Trot–enjoy! I will be taking a break from posting for a couple of days–Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I look forward to hearing about your Thanksgiving!
I was thinking of finishing off 2014 with a running streak. (Yes, I was inspired by Runner’s World.) Here are my rules…at least one mile of running or run walking EVERY DAY from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day. 10 minutes of cross training will count as one mile of running…
WHO IS IN?? More details to follow…:)
