As I am still in marathon recovery mode, and trying to “be good”, I did not run this weekend. It was strange, I was a lot like a fish out of water. I should probably also be offended that MORE THAN ONE (or 3…) people came up to me in church on Sunday and complimented me on my outfit, and hairstyle. Hmmm, I call it the “I didn’t have to get up super-early-and-run-18-miles-before-music-rehearsal-look”. Add in the extra hour with daylight savings…holy cow, I had my act together. THAT NEVER HAPPENS! I will be rockin’ the ponytail and the usual next week…No picture, sorry, I guess you all will only know me as my “sweaty-I-just-ran-a-race self”. That’s the real me anyway.
Here is what has been going on here…
To all those who participated in NYC–YOU ROCK! The wind! The moment when Kipsang looked at Desisa–that game face!
One of the announcers…John Anderson described the marathon as this, “The oldest and most elemental sport there is. We are going to start here, and get to there and whoever is the fastest wins.” Well put. I like that.
Then to top off a relaxing weekend…
43-21!!!!!!!!!! AND a Fantasy Football WIN! Maybe we do know what we are doing??
This is what the snow did to our household…We are dreaming of the slopes!
Are you excited about winter/snow?
Do you train differently in the winter? Cross train more?
